I would like to get the opportunity to say good bye to all of those who have been in the extended network of professionals who provide the insurance and financial industry the information that predicates millions of dollars in revenue.
There are no schools in the insurance and financial industry that teach a representative how to make 75 calls a day. Having a solid opening, handling of reluctace and closing skills are imperitive for success on the telephone and will never go out of style. There is an old saying that I have used time and again, "Nobody cares what you know until they know you care." This is what telemarketing brings to the transactions, by the millions. The value telemarketing and internet marketing bring to our national GDP has to be the most under rated value in the history of sales. Impossible to measure accurately but definitely growing and will continue to do so as long as there is no regulation in the industry and the proverbial, "Man with one eye in the Valley of the Blind is King" rules apply. Regualtion isn't needed but definition is. "There is a big difference between information, a lead and an appointment. If you don't know then keep your wallet in your pants until you do." was the way I was told. I pass that along to you as well.
This is what I bought into at Ashton Danbury, reality. They have built a nice business up because they call it as they see it. You pick the data and their troops call on DNC compliant data. We invested in a CRM and Call Flow that allows the prospects to monitor campaigns as they are underway. It is as good as it gets in this industry and I am glad I put my money where my mouth was and invested in some very creative young talent.
In a world where everyone is being led to 800 numbers and websites for opt in marketing it is important to listen and evaluate the person on the other end of the phone. The truth is you get what you pay for. Some of you have paid me quite well. Some elected not to pay me at all or found no value at all in telemarketing. I can only say I have never learned anything in life without having to put up my money; not in poker not in college and not in business either.
I can say Ashton Danbury was an investment on my behalf that paid handsomely. I will be departing under excellent terms with the company and have nothing but positive things to say about the company. I will be moving on but not into the internet leads/telemarketing business, more like early retirement.
